So in infinity war Hulk may have got beaten down by Thanos . His disappearance doesn't means he is afraid but means he is angry Which is confirmed By the Directors of infinity war Russo brothers . According to them Hulk not coming in infinity war is giving a hint for something big . Basically i have already talk about hulk in my previous post but the real clarification came from the digital release of infinity war where we saw the deleted scene along with the movie making . In the director's commentary track we got to know that there was a problem going between hulk and Bruce .
First we were thinking that Loki is posing as Bruce banner roaming on earth . But that was a fan theory but the topic we are going to talk about is confirmed by the movie directors of marvel infinity war . In the starting of infinity war when loki said we have a hulk , every one was thinking one thing "Smash". But here Thanos beaten hulk without using his power stone which shows that he is not any common villain .In the whole movie Hulk rejected to come out , everybody thought that Hulk is afraid o fight with Thanos . The Director Joe Russo explained that hulk rejection tells us about a major revolution . According to them ,this a interesting journey for hulk and banner . The directors are thinking that how take their story forward because hulk and Bruce are not a single personality . They are 2 personalities in one body who clashes with each other on time to time to make control over the body.The Russo Brothers thought this point that Bruce when he needs Hulk to fight but what if Hulk is not interested to fight , What if there is no relation between these two personalities and the same thing happened in infinity war . People have thought that Hulk is afraid to come out but ultimately he is fed up of helping Bruce banner . So all the fans will be happy who were hating the theory that hulk is afraid to fight.
In Ragnarök Banner told Thor that there something wrong with Hulk and him , If he turns to hulk again he might never again turn to Banner. That is what happening , Do Bruce will become Hulk or not is depended on the Hulk.This split personality hero is going to be used by the Russo brothers for professor hulk who is going to be shown in avengers 4.So we have to see that what will trigger hulk to accept such major change.
