Why Captain Marvel Never Came Before Avengers 4 To Save Earth

So guys we know that we are going to see Captain Marvel in avengers 4 because of the post credits scene of avengers infinity war where Nick Fury was going to be disintegrated , in his last last moment he sends a distress call to captain marvel through senders .But many fans were thinking that Nick has this device with him , then why didn't he use this device earlier during the alien invasion in New York , or during the time when Ultron tried to Blast earth by throwing a city on earth .

One fan theory tells the reason behind this which seems pretty accurate and sensible . It states that the Origin of Captain Marvel is going to be in 1990's which means that she is working in this field for many years before the formation the Avengers . We all know that she is very powerful and had a good knowledge about all this , so she doesn't want to stop at protecting only one planets. So start fighting against threat at inter galactic level.She is protecting many planets at a single time.So when New York attack happened Captain Marvel was busy fighting bigger problems that that and Nick believed that Avengers could handle this and they did and during the end of infinity war unknowing of Thanos snaps , Nick thought this is a Skrull invasion and Captain Marvel is been fighting against Skrull from a long time and this was a crucial moment for them So Nick called Captain Marvel for help.
